Peter Grothues appointed Managing Director of Exhibitions at DLG

Frankfurt am Main-based DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V.) and DLG Service GmbH today announced the appointment of Peter Grothues as Managing Director of the Exhibitions Department.

DLGPeter GrothuesFrankfurt am Main-based DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V.) and DLG Service GmbH today announced the appointment of Peter Grothues as Managing Director of the Exhibitions Department.

Peter Grothues has over 20 years of experience in the world of exhibitions. After graduating, he worked in various roles at the Düsseldorf Chamber of Small Industries and Skilled Trades and with exhibition company Handwerk Nordrhein-Westfalen before joining Kölnmesse in 1995. He took charge of various events for the company as project manager and product manager until 2004, when he became business unit head. From then until 2012, he had final responsibility for the success of the company’s portfolio of trade fairs for the food & beverage, food & drink technology and environmental technology sectors both at home and abroad. These included Anuga (the world’s leading food and beverage fair), Anuga FoodTec (international trade show for suppliers of food and beverage manufacturing equipment), ISM (the world’s largest confectionery exhibition) as well as Sweets China, World of Food Asia and other events in Asia and the Middle East.
