Stonehaven Consulting appoints Matt Dobbs as practice leader

Dobbs, an RCVS Advanced Practitioner with over 15 years of industry experience is named Practice Leader, to head the development of digital animal healthcare products and services.

Stonehaven Consulting has appointed Matt Dobbs as Practice Leader, to head the development of digital animal healthcare products and services.

Matt was formerly a lecturer in Dairy Practice and Head of Large Animal Practice at the UK Royal Veterinary College. Prior to joining Stonehaven Consulting, he served as Managing Director of Westpoint Farm Vets for over 15 years, focusing on providing a range of innovative and technology focused animal health support services including training, research and consultancy.

Matthias Hofer, Managing Partner at Stonehaven Consulting, said: “Matt has been at the forefront of production animal technology for many years, and his practical experience provides valuable insight for new products and services. I am delighted to welcome him to Stonehaven Consulting.”

Matt Dobbs said: “It’s a great time to be joining the ever-growing Stonehaven Consulting team. Digital technology is increasingly being used to enhance companion animal health and livestock productivity, the potential is enormous. We can help transform the global life science sector by exploring new digital pathways and provide strategic consultation to help our clients grow.”

During his career, Matt has been the recipient of several awards, including the Bullock Award for Innovation in Agriculture, the Queen’s Award for Agriculture and the Trehane Trust Nuffield Farming Scholarship. He has also held academic appointments at the University of Sydney, the University of Surrey and is the Senior Independent Director of AgriEPI, a UK Agri-tech strategy business.

Matt, an RCVS Advanced Practitioner, has been published in several publications in the veterinary field and has presented at numerous conferences in the UK, US, Europe and Australia.
