Farmex LtdSophisticated technology developed by Farmex to help pig farmers has been recognised at the 2012 Pig and Poultry Marketing Awards, presented at the London Haymarket Hotel.

Reading-based Farmex scooped the Award for Innovation for their system of data gathering and analysis and the judges were impressed by the projected 30 per cent improvement in productivity. “Use of innovated data analysis, ICT (Information Communication Technology) systems and the cloud data storage will hopefully encourage producers to adopt and exploit the technology,” they said.

The presentation was made by Andy Black, managing director of Springetts Brand Design Consultants at the ceremony attended by Farming Minister James Paice.
