The affiliated enterprise of Dandong Port purchased a large number of American soybeans

On 4th June, BobMcDonnell (Governor of Virginia) announced that a Chinese importer would purchase 790-thousand-ton American soybeans from PerdueAgribusiness.

Dandong Port and Dandong Pasite Grain &Oil Co., Ltd. (its affiliated enterprise) signed a contract with Perdue in Dandong last month.

McDonnell said that the price of this deal could be determined according to the specific order.

PerdueAgribusiness was attached to PerdueFarms. PerdueAgribusiness owned and ran a deepwater terminal of exporting grain and oilseed in Chesapeake of Virginia.

The headquarters of Dandong Port was located in Hong Kong. Dandong Pasite Grain &Oil Co., Ltd. was the largest buyer and processing enterprise of grain and oilseed in the Northeast China.

China was the largest soybean importer all around the world. According to some statistics of United States Department of Agriculture, China was expected to set a new record of importing 69-million-ton soybean.
