HKFoods and Plukon Food Group B.V. have today closed the transaction announced on 2 May 2024, whereby HKFoods sells its Danish business to Plukon Food Group B.V. from the Netherlands. The transaction concerned the shares in ROSE Poultry A/S, the subsidiary that formed HKFoods' Business Unit Denmark.

The transaction terminates HKFoods' ownership of the Danish business. The business operations and personnel of HKFoods’ Danish subsidiaries have been transferred to the new owner at the closing of the transaction. HKFoods has operated in Denmark since 2010.

The sale of the Danish business will continue to strengthen the company’s balance sheet. In addition, the divestment will allow HKFoods to better focus on its remaining business and implement its long-term strategy. HKFoods will now continue to operate as a strongly Finnish-based, but internationally operating listed company. The company has a significant market position and strong brands.
