Chemsol has been appointed as distributor for the Vitamex Functional Feed Ingredients division in Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala. It is a first presence in this area and future expansion on the American continent is planned in the coming months.

Vitamex Group has restructured its activities in 2010 in order to respond to the specific needs of its customer segments and product portfolio. The Vitamex Functional Feed Ingredients (FFI) division is focusing on the international sales and marketing of its innovative products and reports first promising results.

The Vitamex FFI division focuses on providing ‘natural health’ to the pig, poultry and cattle industry and offers a selective, in-house developed portfolio of feed ingredients.

As inventor of the use of Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA) in animal feeds, which are the key proven alternative to antibiotic growth promoters, Vitamex is expanding continuously its knowledge on the MCFA’s benefits in its Aromabiotic product range for pigs, poultry and cattle. The FFI division is proactively introducing innovations in the international markets and aims for a wider coverage with a dedicated sales, marketing and technical team to exceed its customer’s expectations.

CEO Patrick Keereman: ‘As the market of feed ingredients is developing fast and because of the unique benefits of our products, our target is to grow substantially in the coming years in the key markets, either organic or by acquisitions. In 2010 the FFI division has reported growth of almost 7% and we aim for a much higher number in 2011.’
