The initiative further strengthens Waitrose`s partnership with British farmers through the sharing of best practice. This includes processors Dalehead Foods, producer BQP, animal feed compounder BOCM PAULS, grain merchant Openfield and its farmer members. It will also deliver significant improvements to the carbon footprint of the pork products through a reduction in transport needs and improved quality control.
The initiative further strengthens Waitrose`s partnership with British farmers allowing information and best practice to be shared between the retailer and the processor (Dalehead), the producer (BQP), the animal feed compounder (BOCM PAULS), the grain merchant (Openfield) and the farmer members of Openfield, as well as delivering significant improvements to the carbon footprint of the meat produced through a reduction in transport needs and improved quality control.
