Visitors found Zinpro experts at booth #C31 in Hall 22, where they discussed how to transform animal health, increase profitability, and drive operational sustainability in dairy, swine, poultry and aqua businesses. Zinpro also presented a breakthrough in dairy nutrition: Zinpro® IsoFerm®, the essential nutrient herds need.
Zinpro IsoFerm won a Silver Medal at the EuroTier Innovation Awards
Zinpro IsoFerm won a Silver Medal at the EuroTier Innovation Awards, recognizing its significant improvements in functionality, efficiency, and sustainability. This award highlights the most innovative products in the animal livestock and management industry.
Zinpro IsoFerm is a proprietary blend of isoacids or branched-chain volatile fatty acids (BCVFAs) that are naturally used by rumen microbes to make microbial protein and energy. This process enhances fibre digestion and microbial protein production, improving rumen function. Isoacids have been recognized as required nutrients for decades, but supplementation in deficient diets was difficult – until now.
Here are some of the benefits of Zinpro IsoFerm:
- Superior Transition Cow Performance: Enhanced liver function in early lactation reduces body weight loss, lowers ketosis, and increases glucose production.
- Increased Milk Production: Improves fermentation, achieving 10-12% higher peak milk production.
- Improved Feed Efficiency: Enhances rumen function, improving fiber digestion and protein utilization with less dry matter intake.
- Enhanced Farm Efficiency: Increases income over feed costs and improves the bottom line.
- Environmental Sustainability: Drives operational and environmental sustainability.
Customers and dairy producers implementing Zinpro IsoFerm are seeing productivity and financial benefits in their operations.
"It's just nice to come in the parlor in the morning and see our cows full of milk. I love it because it means I'm breeding my cows to the potential that they have now. And by using Zinpro IsoFerm it's really released that potential in them,” says Pippa Tudor, Hallon Farm, UK.
Pete Davis, owner and nutritionist at Cows 24-7 in the UK says, “We’re just not getting transition disease and we’re getting healthy cows coming through. It’s increasing our pregnancy rate which is up about 3½ percentage points.
SWINE: Sow Longevity – What’s the Potential?
At EuroTier on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, Dr. Christof Rapp presented a talk in German titled "Langlebige Sauen - wie viel Potenzial steckt da drin?" This session will explore the numerous benefits of Zinpro® Availa® Sow supplementation for swine.
Weaning many piglets per litter or per sow is an important driver of profitability of sow herds without any doubt. The second key element for financial success is the cost of production, which leaving expenses for housing and equipment aside, depends largely on the expenses associated with the sow such as feed and sow replacement.
Removal of young sows from the herd has become an increasing concern in the swine industry. When sows are removed from the herd, it has a strong impact on productivity and profitability. Ideally, older sows (6th parity or higher) are removed and replaced with gilts that have higher genetic merit. However, due to increased sow mortality in recent years, many sows leave the herd after 1st and 2nd parity. These sows did not reach peak production, weaned fewer piglets per lifetime, and the cost per piglet produced is higher compared to sows that stay in the herd through peak production (3rd to 5th parity), resulting in lower productivity and profitability.
Sows with healthy feet stay in the herd longer, are more productive, and use feed more efficiently. Hence, increasing sow longevity is an effective means to improve productivity, profitability and sustainability of piglet production.
