The National Food and Agriculture Health and Quality Service (SENASA) passed the Decision No. 626/2016, that authorises the entry in Patagonia of deboned fresh pork (refrigerated or frozen) and fresh sausages made of pork.

The regulation (signed by the president of the SENASA, Mr. Jorge Dillon, and published in the Official State Gazette) also specifies that the meat will have to come from animals born and raised in the area of the country free of foot-and-mouth disease and will have to be slaughtered in plants authorised by the national health body.
