According to the data published by the Argentinean government, the slaughterings of pigs rose by 8.64% between January and July 2014 in comparison with the same period in 2013, going from 2,676,790 to 2,908,073 heads this year, according to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Additionally, consumption rose by 3.07%, reaching 10.55 kg per capita.
The exports also grew by 8.83%, going from 3,726 to 4,055 tonnes during the first seven months of 2014.
