On the one hand, there is a need to avoid overlapping with the wheat harvest and, on the other hand, there is a large area to be planted with soybeans this year. The aim is to take advantage of the available moisture to provide better possibilities for the seeds, which are far from reaching 80% germinability this year.
This week's strong winds and rapid drying aggravate the problem of not having a proven reliable seed. But progress continues to be made and every effort is being made to take the utmost care. Currently, 60% of the first soybean intended area (45% of the total soybean area) has already been planted. The southeast of Córdoba leads the progress with 75%. In the north of the core region, 65% of the intended area has already been planted.
