The President of the National Services for Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA), Mr Ricardo Negri, and the General Manager of the Inter American Institute for Agricultural Cooperation (IICA), Mr Manuel Otero, signed an interinstitutional cooperation agreement to strengthen agricultural and animal health and the safety of agri-food produced in Argentina.
The agreement favours the technical-scientific and experiences exchange with South American public and private institutions linked to these areas, as well as the development of projects and activities for the continuous improvement and the strengthening of agricultural and livestock health, and the quality and safety of agri-food.
In order to do this, the SENASA and the IICA will work together, through a technical cooperation for the design, preparation, execution ans strengthening of programs and projects; will organize collaborations with regional technical cooperation mechanisms and networks; and will develop training through courses, seminars and other tools.
