In October 2020, after a lengthy approval process, Argentina's National Animal Health and Agricultural Quality Service (SENASA) officially authorized the import of compound feed from Russia.

Negotiations on this issue began on April 16, 2020 between Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) and SENASA. The parties agreed that the supply of such feeds will be accompanied by a Russian veterinary certificate, Form 5b, which will be issued by Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors for each batch of feeds shipped.

Rosselkhoznadzor has been working with SENASA to agree on the terms of export of high-tech agricultural products (compound feed of non-animal origin for birds, pigs and cattle) since the beginning of 2019.
