The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture reported last Friday the appearance of ASF in a new province, specifically in Guizhou.
On Thursday the Chinese Ministry confirmed the first outbreak, with 10 susceptible animals and 8 cases, located in Hezhang (Bijie) and on Friday a second outbreak was confirmed, in a village in Qixingguan (Bijie), with 49 susceptible pigs and 25 cases.
On the other hand, it also confirms a new focus on a pig farm with 7684 susceptible animals in Taoyuan (Changde) in Hunan province.
With the appearance of these outbreaks in Guizhou and the focus in Hunan, there are already 13 provinces, autonomous municipalities, and regions affected by ASF and 52 outbreaks declared since the onset of the disease last August.
