ASF China: more restrictions lifted

After 6 weeks without the detection of new cases in Lianyungang, the restrictions have been lifted.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has decided, after receiving the report drafted by the Provincial Agricultural Committee of Jaingsu dated October 3rd, to lift the restrictions in the city of Lianyungang, province of Jiangsu, as of Friday, October 4th.

After the emergence of the disease in this city, the local authorities adopted measures such as the blocking of movements, culling, disinfection and the harmless treatment in accordance with the requirements of the Emergency Plan for the African swine fever Epidemic and the Technical Guidelines for the prevention and control of this disease.

After completing the culling of the pigs in the area affected by the epidemic, and after 6 weeks of continuous control and research, no new cases have been detected.
