The European Commission has declared the outbreak of ASF, genotype 2, detected in Dorgali in September, resolved. The Decision has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The eradicated outbreak was defined by the European Commission as an "occasional" and "imported" outbreak that remained confined to the area in the province of Nuoro.

The region, in collaboration with hunting associations, verified the presence of genotype 2 in about 350 wild boars: all tests were negative.

The evidence gathered reassured the Commission, which then decided accordingly, confirming the ASF-free status in wild boar, certified by the European Commission in late October.
