The restricted zone describes an at-risk area around the place where the wild boar infected with ASF was hunted in the municipality of Krauschwitz/Pechern in the district of Görlitz. Hunters in this area are prohibited from hunting any animal species, and an intensive search has been initiated to get an overview of the actual spread of ASF. Reporting any wild boar found dead is mandatory, and those hunters who find and help in the collection of these animals will receive compensation for their expenses. Pig producers are not allowed to keep pigs outdoors in this area. Dog owners must keep their animals on a leash. Fairs, auctions, and other events involving pigs are prohibited. The use of agricultural and forest areas will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
