Five months after the first outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in the wild boar population in Germany, a total of 685 cases have been confirmed according to the TierSeuchenInformationsSystem (TSIS).

There are currently a total of 35 confirmed ASF cases in Saxony (Görlitz district) and 650 in the state of Brandenburg:

  • Spree-Neiße district: 50
  • Oder-Spree district: 390
  • Märkisch-Oderland district: 210

To date, domestic pig populations in Germany have remained free of ASF.
