The Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine and the WOAH have confimed the presence of African swine fever (ASF) on a 700-pig farm located in Dovzhok (Novoselytskiy, Chernovtsy), in the west of Ukraine, near the border with Romania.

From the whole of the susceptible animals, the authorities have confirmed 55 cases.

Since the beginning of 2016, ten outbreaks of the disease have been confirmed: Poltava (3 outbreaks), Odessa (3), Zhytomyr (1), Sumy (1), Kirovohrad (1) and Khmelnitsky (1), to which we must add this last outbreak in Chernovtsy.
