Australia opens its market to French pork

Australian authorities officially opened their market to raw French pork.

After analyzing the provisions applied in France in terms of biosecurity on farms and production sites, but also in terms of preparation for or control of animal diseases such as classical swine fever and African swine fever, Australia validated the protocol and the export health certificate proposed by France, the purpose of which is to regulate pork exports to Australia, i.e. raw pork, transported frozen and intended for processing, such as ham and bacon, for example.
