The Memorandum of Understanding aims to establish the terms and conditions for exporting fertilizers and raw materials to Brazil produced by Bolivian companies.

On the other hand, the identification of agricultural, livestock, and agro-industrial inputs and products of Brazilian and Bolivian origin will be carried out, which may be requested by the parties to establish the feasibility of import, export, and commercial conditions.

Among the most important points, the MOU seeks to promote and implement technical and scientific cooperation through technological exchange, research, development, and innovation between the parties in the areas of agriculture, livestock, fish farming, forestry, agricultural, and agro-industrial inputs, taking into account mainly plant breeding in soybean, oil palm, and cotton, and the possibility of implementing a biotechnology laboratory.

President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, emphasized that the country has high production capacities, so the binational exchange and support between Bolivia and Brazil is important. "We are the major food producers in South America. We have the conditions, fresh water, land, business capacity, and our small producers are willing to contribute to South America to become a place that can feed all those in need," said the president.
