On Tuesday, October 25, representatives of the Brazilian and Ukrainian government signed two agricultural cooperation agreements.
The first accordance, a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Brazilian and Ukrainian Ministers of Agriculture, foresees the promotion of a consulting forum in order to facilitate bilateral agricultural relations between the two countries.
In parallel, the cooperation agreement signed by Embrapa and the Ukrainian National Science Academy is aimed at exchange in the areas of agricultural research and technology and the expansion of cooperation programs. It aims to strengthen bilateral relations between both countries, especially in the areas of agricultural development, livestock, research and natural resource economics.
Last year, Brazilian exports of agricultural products to the Ukraine reached 226.7 million dollars, pork meat (105.2 million dollars) and café (44.5 million) being the principal products exported.
