The registration of products intended for animal feed and the registration of establishments for the manufacture, fractioning, import or export of products intended for animal feed can now be done electronically through the Gov.br portal. It is estimated that today there are around 3,000 establishments and their products that must be monitored and managed in a single database.

The procedures will be carried out in the Integrated System of Agricultural Products and Establishments (Sipeagro), which will allow national unification of information and support to the technical area of inspection and surveillance of establishments and products registered on Mapa.

The Normative Instructions no. 17 and 27, which establish the procedures for electronic registration of establishments and products in the animal feed area and the change of inspection route provided in Technical Regulation on Hygiene and Health Conditions and Good Manufacturing Practices for establishments manufacturing products intended for animal feed, were published last Wednesday the 22nd in the Official Gazette.

To verify compliance with legislation and the conformity of documents and information presented in the computerized system, the Department of Inspection of Products of Animal Origin (Dipoa) will audit the records of establishments manufacturing or marketing products.
