The soybean planted area for the 2023/2024 crop was adjusted based on new crop areas identified in Maranhão, Goiás, Pará, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Sul, and Minas Gerais. The same was observed for the second crop corn. The production estimate for this season is 295.45 million tons of grain. However, the heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul will negatively impact this season's final result.

Conab's survey also estimates a corn harvest of 111.64 million tons, a reduction of 15.4% compared to last season. In most producing states, the first harvest saw lower yields than those obtained in the season prior, influenced by adverse weather conditions. Conditions are not uniform in the second harvest.
