Brazil - Decrease in pork exportations

Throughout the month of March, Brazilian pork exportations decreased by 11,60% with respect to the same month last year, going from 50,111 tons to 44,299 tons. In terms of value, the decrease was 1.70%, going from 119.50 million dollars in March 2010 to 117.47 million in March of this year.

Throughout the month of March, Brazilian pork exportations decreased by 11,60% with respect to the same month last year, going from 50,111 tons to 44,299 tons. In terms of value, the decrease was 1.70%, going from 119.50 million dollars in March 2010 to 117.47 million in March of this year.

With respect to the cumulate in 2011, a 5.89% increase has been noted in profits, despite the 5.82% fall in volume. Exportation from January to March 2010 were 125.,66 tons, and generated 293.77 million dollars, in comparison with 118,169 tons and 311.07 million dollars this year.

The main destinations for Brazilian pork this first trimester were: Russia, Hong Kong, Argentina, Angola, Mexico and the Ukraine.
