According to the information provided by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), in August, the exports of fresh Brazilian pork reached a volume of 58.9 thousand tonnes (+2.4% in comparison with August 2016: 57,500 tonnes). In terms of value, the result was even better: an increase by 12.7%, with USD143 million.
Between January and August 2017, the value of the exports reached USD1,006 million versus USD812 million in the same period in 2016. On the other hand, in terms of volume 401.3 thousand tonnes were exported: 2.3% less than in January-August 2016.
