The Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil has started a public survey related to the devising of regulations for the gathering, transport, storage, handling, processing and elimination of pigs and fowl that have died a natural death on the farms. The animals dead due to health emergencies are not included.
The new regulation’s aim is to prevent and minimise risks to public and animal health and the environment, apart from making possible a sustainable and safe use of the dead animals from the health viewpoint.
