After reaching the highest historical participation in the national pork production in 2024, Paraná continues to see considerable increases. Pork exports increased 91.5% in March this year compared to the same month last year, the highest variation since February 2016, when they rose 121.4%.
Figures from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) indicate that Paraná exported 19,400 tons of pork last month, 9,300 tons more than 12 months ago. Compared to February, there was an increase of 8.9%, with 1,600 tons more.

The Deral bulletin highlights that this performance places March 2025 second in the historical ranking of monthly pork exports from Paraná, only behind October 2024, when 20,500 tons were shipped.
According to Deral's swine production analyst, Priscila Cavalheiro Marcenovicz, there was a market opening in the Philippines, which has already become the third leading destination for Paraná pork with purchases of 2,500 tons.
Traditional partners also increased their purchases last month, such as Hong Kong, with an increase of 99.9% (+2,400 tons), Argentina +358.5% (+1,900 tons), and Uruguay +102.4% (+1,900 tons).
