Brazil: pork exports are still growing

The Asian and South American markets are the most important destinations for the Brazilian fresh pork.

In October, the exports of Brazilian fresh pork reached 53,200 tonnes, an increase by 21% in comparison with October 2015. So far this year, this increase equals 38.8%, with 527,300 tonnes exported.

In terms of value, the Brazilian fresh pork exports in October reached USD133.1 million: 23% more than in 2015. Between January and October this increase has meant 1,099 USD million (+12.8%).

The Asian and South American markets are the most important destinations for the Brazilian fresh pork, specially Hong Kong, Argentina and Uruguay.
