According to figures collected by the Brazilian Association of animal protein (ABPA), Brazilian exports of poultry maintain their growth trend in 2016, recording a new monthly maximum in May.
Pork exports have also shown strong growth rates this year. Shipments of fresh products in May totalled 55,200 tonnes, an increase of 36% compared with the same month last year. Between January and May the increase already reached 62%, with 247,800 tons of fresh pork exported.
