According to the data of the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), the exports of fresh pork in April reached 44,500 tonnes: 16% less than in the same period in 2016. Regarding the value of the exports, they grew 21% in comparison with April 2016, reaching USD120.9 million.
Despite the two consecutive months with a negative balance in the volume of fresh pork shipping, they remain positive so far this year. In the first four months of 2017, 198,000 tonnes were exported (3% more than in the same period in 2016). Regarding value, the total balance was USD468.4 million (+40% with respect to the same period 2016).
