Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior signed a series of protocols and commitments to develop the renewable fuels chain in Paraná. As the country's leading producer of animal protein, Paraná is making a strategic move towards energy transition and decarbonization of production processes.
The main action will be the Sustainable Road Corridors of Paraná, which will be expanded through the use of agro-industrial waste and residues to power Paraná's road fleets.

Another 159 cities will also benefit because they are within a radius of up to 20 kilometers of the corridor, which makes it viable for those who produce biomethane to inject into the gas grid or to supply gas stations. There is currently a sustainable road corridor linking Paranaguá, on the coast, to Londrina, in the north of the state. On the route, there are 11 filling stations for gas-powered light and heavy vehicles, and new stations will be added this year.
