After 10 years of negotiations, Brazil has finally been authorised to export, for the first time, pork to Korea.

The Korean government has decided to authorise pork import from the Brazilian State of Santa Catarina. According to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA), the export potential of Santa Catarina establishments to South Korea is forecast at $108 M (33,000 tonnes).

The Ministry expects to finalise negotiation formalities towards the end of the year.
