The Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil has published a report on the Brazilian agricultural sector estimates for the next decade. The Brazilian agricultural sector is the main responsible for the GDP.

The meat production estimates for the 2014/15-2024/25 period show that the highest growth rates will be for chicken, that is expected to rise by 3.0% anually; and pork, whose expected growth in this period is by 2.9% per year. Beef production has an expected growth of 2.1% per year, and this also represents a relatively high value, because it can satisfy domestic consumption as well as exports.

The total meat production estimation in 2014/15 was 25.8 million tonnes, and the forecast for the end of the next decade is 33.7 million tonnes of chicken, pork and beef: this represents an increase in production by 30.7%.
