Brazilian pork exports (considering all products, fresh and processed) totaled 96,100 tonnes in June 2020, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Animal Proteins (ABPA). This figure is 50.4% higher than in June 2019 (63,900 tonnes).
During the first six months of this year, pork sales have increased by 37.01% compared to 2019 (479,400 t exported between January and June 2020 versus 349,900 t for the same period in 2019).
Asia, the flagship of Brazilian exports, imported 374,500 t in the first half of this year, a balance 83.1% higher than that recorded in 2019. China, the largest importer of Brazilian pork, imported 230,700 tonnes in the period (+ 150.2%). Hong Kong, in second place, imported 18.6% more, with 92,900 tonnes. Another important market was Singapore, with 27,800 tonnes (+ 51.6%).
