Brussels adopts a text on the temperature for the transport of carcasses

The proposal, initiated by Culture Viande together with the IFIP, the ANSES and the DGAL, and with the help, at a European level, of the UECBV, has been voted favourably.

As published by Culture Viande, last July 4th the project for the modification of Regulation CE 853/2004 was voted, and it will allow the transport of carcasses of pigs and small ruminants at core temperatures exceeding 7ºC.

The definitive publication of the regulation could be carried out next autumn in the Official Journal of the European Union.
