According to Asian Agribiz, Cambodia Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Veng Sakhon said that meat demand in Cambodia will increase to 300,000 tonnes per year by 2020, driven by Cambodia’s expanding population, urbanization, economic growth and the changing consumption patterns.

He also said that although pork production and poultry production have grown by 2.9% and 5.4% respectively, the total number of cattle in 2017 decreased and about 93 percent of agricultural land was replaced by agricultural machinery.
