Quebec and Manitoba reported total inventory increases from July 1, 2009 at 1.4% and 3.0% respectively. The increases are reflective of changes in hog slaughter and international exports and are not an indication that the industry is expanding. British Columbia (-19.6%), Alberta (-2.3%), Saskatchewan (-9.1%), Ontario (-8.7%) and the Atlantic region (-12.0%) reported decreases in inventory.
