Prices farmers received for their commodities fell 8.2% in June from the same month a year earlier, as the declining crops index offset gains in the livestock and animal products index.

The prices producers received for livestock and animal products in June rose 5.5% compared with June 2009. This is the second consecutive increase, following 11 months of decreases. Increases were recorded for all commodities except poultry and dairy.
