After the meeting held by the Minister of Agriculture of Brazil, Ms. Katia Abreu, and the Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of China, Mr. Zhi Shuping, China has authorised seven new Brazilian abattoirs to export meat to the Asian giant. Three of them are beef, two pork and two chicken plants.

Of the seven plants, one was waiting for the licence since 2012, and the others have received approval after their inspection by the Chinese auditors last June. It is expected that each plant exports for an amount of USD18-20 million/year.
