China on Wednesday unveiled the first set of lists of U.S. goods to be excluded from the first round of additional tariffs on U.S. products.

The exemption will be effective from Sept. 17, 2019 to Sept. 16, 2020, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said in a statement.

China has levied three rounds of additional tariffs on US frozen pork, including 25 per cent in April 2018, 25 per cent in June 2019 and another 10 per cent in September 2019, bringing the final tariff to 72 per cent. If all the trade war tariffs were removed, the rate would return to 12 per cent.
