On September 1st, the extra 15% tariff against the first goods exported from China to the USA amounting USD300 billion came into effect. China has presented the report against the American measure before the WTO’s arbitration mechanism.
The measures of the American tax violate the agreement reached by the leaders of these two countries in Osaka, and China makes clear its strong disagreement and its categorical opposition.
On August 24th, the USA declared that it would increase the tariffs imposed on the goods exported from China to the USA for an approximate amount of USD550 billion.
Before the measures imposed by the USA, China has set in motion new additional tariffs of between 5% and 10% to American products that amount USD75 billion. Among the affected products we can find pork and soya.
