China to continue swine breeding subsidy

An official from China's Ministry of Agriculture said the ministry will allocate more subsidies nationwide in a bid to build more standardized pig farms, aiming to stabilize live hog production.

An official from China's Ministry of Agriculture said the ministry will allocate more subsidies nationwide in a bid to build more standardized pig farms, aiming to stabilize live hog production.

The official said the government will continue the cash reward policy towards major pig producing counties for a total of CNY 2.1 billion (USD309 million).
