After a safety assessment of the veterinary drugs currently used in China in animals intended for human consumption, the Ministry has decided to ban, in accordance with the provisions of Article 69 of the "Veterinary Regulations", the use of lomefloxacin, pefloxacin, ofloxacin and norfloxacin from December 31, 2016.

Based on this assessment, these formulations have been determined to cause potential damage or to pose a potential risk to human health and aquaculture. The regulation also bans the production of these products as of December 31, 2015.
