The Vice Prime Minister of China, Mr Ma Kai, and the Minister of Economy of France, Mr Bruno Le Maire, have led the fifth economic and financial dialogue that has taken place in Beijing from November 30th to December 2nd.
The results have been very interesting for both countries, and we must highlight, in the food and agriculture sector, the obtaining, before the end of 2017, of the results of the audits and the export authorisations for the baby milk, pork and cured sausages sectors.
As published by the newspaper Ouest France, the Chinese pork imports grew by more than 1.6 million tonnes last year, bringing a breath of fresh air to the French producers. The Chinese demand of processed pork is also growing at a constant pace. But since now, Beijing only allowed the entrance of products from a few processed meat products (including ham and other processed meats) exporters. The inspections were carried out in France in 2015, but while waiting for the publishing of the conclusions, the French companies cannot export their processed products to China.
