On April 3rd, 2018, the USA government announced that it would impose new tariffs on Chinese technological, industrial, medical and transportation products worth USD50,000 million.
According to the statement by the Ministry of Trade of China, this measure clearly breaks the relevant World Trade Organisation regulations, and the legitimate rights and interests of China, and it is because of this that China will apply, in turn, a tariff of 25% on 106 products, soya being among them.
