Total Chinese imports of pork and pork by-products from January to March 2025 reached 580,000 tons, up from the 540,000 tons in the same quarter of 2024. This represents an increase of 7.4%, reflecting the Chinese market's continued reliance on international suppliers.
Specifically, pork imports rose 8% from 250,000 tons in the first quarter of 2024 to 270,000 tons in 2025. Meanwhile, by-products rose 6.9% from 290,000 tons to 310,000 tons.
