China's pork production increased over 4% in 2022

China produced 55.41 million tons of pork in 2022.

China's pork production increased by 4.6% year-on-year in 2022 reaching 55.41 million tons. A total of nearly 700 million pigs were slaughtered (+4.3%).

At the end of the year, the live pig inventory stood at 452.56 million head, an increase of 0.7% compared to the period the previous year.
