The program allows importers to request tariff exclusions on China's Section 301 retaliatory tariffs on U.S. products, including pork.
However, the exclusion process does not apply to Section 232 retaliatory tariffs imposed by China. U.S. pork products, among other agricultural products, remain subject to these retaliatory tariffs. Therefore, if an importer receives a Section 301 retaliatory tariff exclusion, the total applied tariff, as detailed below, would only include the most-favored-nation (MFN) tariff notified by China to the WTO, plus the additional Section 232 retaliatory tariff.
