According to the information published by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, Peru has given the OK to the imports of Colombian pork.
After the announcement, last October, stating that the health requirements for the Colombian exporters to sell pineapples, avocados, pork, chicken, eggs and live pigs to Peru had been give the thumbs up, the National Agricultural Health Service (SENASA) of Peru has announced that it will enable the Colombian abattoirs Súper Cerdo Paisa and Frigocolanta (pig line) to export its products to Peru.
“With this green light given by Peru, we open a new opportunity for a product that we are not exporting yet to this country. We are making progress in the fulfillment of the highest standards in a new segment and we are heading towards the goal that we have planned regarding increasing the exportable supply”, said the Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, Ms. María Claudia Lacouture.
